High School Attended: South Bend Central                           Graduated: 1956
High School Honors: Received 8 letters with 3 in football, National Honor Society,
Kiwanis Award, Northern Indiana Conference 1st  team, 1954 All Twin City 1st team,
1955 Northern Indiana Conference 1st team/tackle.  

College Attended: Purdue University                                    Graduated: 1961

College Honors: Was 3-year letter winner and 2 year as starter, Noble E. Kizer Award
for athletic and scholastic achievement.

Coaching Experience: Mishawaka HS as Assistant Football Coach for 3 years between
1962-65. South Bend Jackson HS between 1965-75 as Head Football Coach for 2 years,
Assistant Football Coach for 8 years, Head Wrestling Coach for 8 years, and Assistant
Wrestling Coach for 2 years. South Bend Riley HS for 1 year between 1975-76 as
Assistant Football Coach 1 year. Elkhart Memorial HS between 1976-87, was Head
Football Coach for 11 years and Assistant Football Coach for 3 years.

Coaching Honors: Indiana High School Football Coaches Association Region 2 Class
5A Coach of the Year.

Professional Background: Drafted by the New York Giants of the NFL in 1960

Dale and his wife Barbara reside in Florida, They have two children Kellie, and Kevin.
