Our much beloved daughter, Christina B. Van Huffel, 43, was taken
from us on Friday, May 12.
Christina was born on April 22, 1957, in South Bend, Ind. She had
lived the past four years in Fort Lauder-dale and Coral Springs,
Fla.
Christina leaves behind her parents, Joseph J. and Hildegard I.
Van Huffel of South Bend; her sister, Karin J. (Dan) Lee of
Millersburg, Ind.; her children, Michelle Keres of South Bend and
Michael Keres of Sarasota, Fla.; her brother, Gary A. (Tammy) Van
Huffel, and children, Hannah, Adriane, Mario and Crystal from
Carmen, Idaho; and her aunts, Ilse (Gunar) Peterson, with son,
Alexander of Wiesbaden, Germany, Helga Mende from Stuttgart,
Germany, with sons, Marcus and Bernard, Martha Auer of Geislingen,
Germany, and Maria Doetsch, with son, Reinhard from Wheil
a./Rhein.
Christina graduated in 1975 from Jackson High School with high
honors and attended Purdue University for four years. Following her
studies at Purdue she worked at a commercial photography studio in
Lafayette, Ind. From 1984-89 she worked as a production artist at
Vantage Advertising Company, South Bend. Christina had a loving
personality. She had many hobbies like art, photography, kayaking
and skiing, and she was an avid reader. She loved the outdoors and
nature.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, in the Hahn
Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., were family will
receive friends one hour prior to the service.
She will be missed so much by all of us.
