Greg Alan Nicholos
March 29, 1955 -- Jan. 23, 2005
Greg Alan Nicholos, 49, passed away January 23, 2005, in Colorado Springs,
Colorado.
Greg was born March 29, 1955, in Knox, Indiana, to George J. and Goldie May
(Campbell) Nicholos, and was raised in South Bend. He was preceded in death by
both his parents.
Greg went to grade school at Pierre Navarre and graduated from Jackson High
School in South Bend in 1973. During the 80s, he worked as a D.J. in South Bend
and in Colorado Springs. More recently he worked in sales for home furnishings
and window coverings.
Greg loved skydiving, cars, music, entertainment, and having a great time. He
dreamt big, had a good heart, and a way of trying to cheer everyone up if they
were down.
Greg is survived by daughters, Casandra and Georgina Nicholos; son, Nathan
Calabrese; twin sister, Cynthia Tompkins; and sisters, Michelle Findley, Diana
Schosker and Gale Jacobs; brothers, George C. Nicholos and Mike Holston;
stepmother, Patricia Nicholos; stepfather, Lee Bartrum; and 12 nieces and
nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2005, in
the Bethany Lutheran Church, 5302 W. Sample Street, South Bend, IN 46619. There
will be a small coffee and tea reception afterwards at the church. The interment
will take place on Monday in Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Greg's memory to the Greg A.
Nicholos Memorial Fund (for his daughters, Casandra and Georgina Nicholos) at
